I am a man with a mission, my mission is to get as many people as possible back gardening and growing food. I have a passion for permaculture and living a natural organic life.

When I look out of my window, I see too many lawns and not enough plants. I fear one of the reasons why nobody is happy is that we have lost that connection between ourselves and nature. We live in box houses, drive box cars, work in box cubicles, eat box meals, and finally put on the box to relax. Somewhere along on the way, we lost our way. I think we can get it back, one plant at a time. Has anyone ever noticed how good homegrown tomatoes taste compared to store-bought ones? We have a connection with plants that should be rekindled. I get it, sometimes we just don’t know where to start, and other times maybe we don’t have the finances. I hope this blog can take away those barriers by offering gardening education that costs little or nothing to put into practice.

I started growing ornamental plants for a company in the UK in 1998. I thought it was the ideal summer job, working outside during those few weeks where the sun actually shines in the UK. Being around all those plants had a profound effect on me and I knew I wanted to grow and have as much contact with plants as possible. I am a trained research scientist and free spirit, I hope I bring a little of what I have learned along the way in the to this blog.
